Service Policy! Required!

K-9 Ruff Cutz LLC,

A Florida based Limited Liability Company, 

dba O My Dog, hereby referred to as O My Dog.

Every client is required to read and sign this Policy Agreement prior to any grooming services being performed.

Your Pet is very important to us. O My Dog would like to assure you that every effort will be made to make your animal’s grooming experience as safe and pleasant as possible. Safety comes first for people as well as the animals during the grooming process. Due to safety and Insurance reasons, K-9 Ruff Cutz LLC requires a person of at least 18 years of age who is authorized to make legal and emergency decisions on site at all times for all NEW Clients while grooming services are being provided during the first scheduled appointment. 


Any new puppy clients being serviced by O My Dog must be up to date on all puppy vaccinations. All dogs over 4 months of age must be current on Rabies vaccine unless a Veterinarian Note is shown due to old age or medical reasons. We highly recommend that they be current on all vaccines, especially Bordetella! O My Dog will not be held liable for any illness that a pet may contract while in our care.


Puppies must be at least 12 weeks of age before scheduling a grooming appointment. One of the first things that a puppy needs to learn besides where to go to the bathroom, is how to be groomed.  In order to make the grooming as pleasant as possible for your puppy, we orient him slowly so that he looks forward to his trip to the mobile spa, instead of being afraid of a new and strange experience.  Puppy grooming can be a slow but ultimately rewarding process for everyone. Mostly, puppies just need to check things out so they can feel comfortable in new surroundings.  We allow extra time so they can sniff around and explore their new environment until they are confident they are in a safe place.  Taking time to cuddle them, and talking to them gently (“these are the clippers”, “here is the brush”, etc.) helps them feel more at ease. Many times puppy grooming will just be a bath, a light trim of the face, feet, and tail, and nail clipping. They will not look perfect, but it is far more important at this stage for them to have a pleasant experience than to get the ideal haircut. A bad experience as a puppy can take a long time to overcome. 


Clients are responsible for keeping their pet free of fleas and ticks. If we find multiple flea or ticks on your pet we will discontinue services until the pet has been treated by the client and is free of fleas and ticks. O My Dog does not provide any flea and tick treatment or preventatives. There will be a $30 travel fee applied to the visit if we need to discontinue service due to Fleas or Ticks.


O My Dog has the right to refuse any services at any time. In the event that your animal is too stressed or becomes dangerous to groom, O My Dog has the right to refuse grooming services, stop grooming services, or cancel grooming services at any time before, during, or after the grooming. Clients will be charged a $30 travel fee due at time of service.


Because we book on an hourly basis cancellations can leave an empty block in the schedule that could have otherwise been used by another customer. We ask that any cancellations are made at least 48 hours in advance. A cancellation fee of $30.00 (per pet) will be invoiced to your account if a second appointment is cancelled with less than 48 hour notice. A third time will terminate our client relationship.


Payment is due at time services are completed unless other arrangements have been discussed. We accept cash, checks and credit cards. Prices may be different than discussed over the phone if pet’s coat condition, size and/or behavior warrants extra time to complete! Checks returned NSF (Non-sufficient Funds) will incur a $25.00 fee plus any bank fees that are charged to our account because of the NSF check. All payments due must be paid in full before any future services are scheduled.


Clients who book recurring appointments every 4 weeks will be able to book on the same day and time each month unless that day falls on a Closed Holiday or a Scheduled Day Closed. If there is a lapse in appointments not already agreed upon by both O My Dog and the client the Day and Time may be changed due to availability.


Grooming procedures can be very stressful for senior pets or pets with medical issues. We will evaluate senior/medical pets before starting our grooming services to decide what services will be safe and appropriate for both the pet and the groomer. A Senior Pet Agreement will be provided for the client to read and sign before proceeding with services. If the client does not agree with our assessment then we will discontinue services and a $30 travel fee will be due at time services are discontinued.


Your satisfaction is important to us. If you are unhappy for any reason and would like something adjusted, we will be happy to make any reasonable adjustments when we bring your pet to you from his/her appointment. After the day of the appointment, any return visit would be treated as a new appointment. Any accusation of injury or illness must be brought to our attention within 24 hours of grooming services performed. We reserve the right to discuss with your Veterinarian the injury/illness in question, as well as with our own Veterinarian. We take photos of all pets before and after grooming services are performed to document the shape the pet was in while in our care. Please refer to the Care of Your Pet section.


This release authorizes O My Dog to take photos of your pet for our client records or for the company website/social media pages. All photos taken are the property of O My Dog but can be shared with you as well. We will be happy to remove any photos from our website/social media pages at your request if you are displeased with the photos for any reason. We strive to only show your pet looking their best.


Caring for your pet is a responsibility that O My Dog takes very seriously! We want your pet’s experience to be as pleasant and as enjoyable as possible. It is important to understand that some pets respond to grooming differently even with the best efforts, so we will make every effort to make their experience a positive one.

If your pet appears ill or injured, O My Dog will discontinue all services until the pet has been seen by your Veterinarian. If client has left the premises and is unavailable we will make every effort to contact you. In the event that we cannot contact the client, you, the client, give O My Dog the authority to take the pet to the nearest Veterinarian office to be evaluated. Vet expenses will be the responsibility of the owner, unless the injury or illness is a direct result of negligence by O My Dog while the pet was in our care.

O My Dog will not be held responsible for any sickness, injury or death caused by the pet to itself during it’s grooming session from pre- existing health conditions, natural disasters, or any illness a pet acquires due to missing or expired vaccines.

O My Dog will not be held responsible for clipper burn, minor nicks or cuts, or irritation resulting from grooming of matted, neglected coats, or mild to severe skin allergies (including ears). In the event that your pet displays any aggressive behaviors, the groomer reserves the right to use an Elizabethan collar, muzzle or grooming hammock to protect themselves from injury.

O My Dog will be notified of any claims by the owner regarding compensation for veterinary care given as a result of alleged negligence on our part within 24 hours of the grooming appointment. In the event we dispute the claim, O My Dog will personally consult the client’s veterinarian as well as our own, prior to any settlement.

O My Dog reserves the right to charge additional fees for services we consider over and above the norm, including but not limited to: severe aggression, bad coat condition, excessive parasite infestations, owner neglect.

By signing this release, you are agreeing that you have reviewed this Service Contract for accuracy, and that you understand the contents of this contract. You affirm that you are the rightful legal owner of the pet(s) for which services are being rendered. You authorize this signed contract to be valid approval for all future grooming services, permitting O My Dog to accept telephone and/or email reservations for service without additional signed contracts or written authorization. If this agreement is revised in any way, you will be given an opportunity to read the changes and another signature will be required.
